An automated collection of peer-reviewed publications on MCAS (Mast Cell Activation Syndrome) and related mast cell activation phenotypes. MCAS involves inappropriate release of mast cell mediators (histamine, tryptase, prostaglandins, and others), causing multisystem symptoms such as flushing, urticaria, gastrointestinal distress, tachycardia, brain fog, and anaphylactoid reactions. It is increasingly studied in Long COVID, PACVS, POTS, and ME/CFS overlap syndromes, with growing interest in antihistamines, mast cell stabilizers, and dietary interventions.
